How do they get the data?
The research is based on four million births in the United States in the year 2014. This organization has been functioning since the year 1977. For the year 2014, according to the list, the most popular ones have been bagged by the two beautiful names Noah and Emma. However this is limited to United States.
When the question as arises as to how this organization gets access to all the required data and whether it is believable and reliable, it is answered in affirmative. This is for the reason that at the time of birth, a social security number is obtained by this organization for the new born.
The process in fact has been mechanized and digitalized. Everything that you requirecan be done online, from the stage of application to the stage of actually obtaining the card for it is mailed to the parents. On the contrary, if you choose to not get a social security number right now, it is not a problem at all. Get it done at a later stage; however you must take notice that the process at a later stage will be more complex.
Get it done right now to avoid hassle later:
The complicated process will require you to make an appearance at the registered office of Social Security Administration. The documents that you will require include your child’s original birth certificate and a form SS-5. This is not an issue but a bigger problem arises when the child whose social security number is being applied for is above the age of 12 years. In such a situation, it is mandatory for the child to accompany his parents.
It is also important to note that in case you are planning to adopt a child, for tax purposes, it is advised that the social security number is obtained before the process and formalities of adoption are complete.
Though there is quite some amount of effort involved, the social security number is not chargeable except obviously in the case of a Gerber baby.
