Social Insurance Bank (SVB), the executor of national insurance in the Netherlands has announced the top boys and girl names in 2016 on Friday. In this list Daan ranked the top in boys category and Anna in girls category. A total of 681 boys were named Daan, and 665 girls were named Anna.
Emma, dropped to a very close second place last year. 2015’s second place Julia dropped to fifth place in 2016 while Sara maintained 9th place in 2016 and 2015.
In 2015 Liam was the most popular name for boys. Last year it dropped down to 13th place. Noah was the second most popular boys name in 2016, followed by Sem. Sem was in second place in 2015 and Lucas was in third. Last year Lucas made it to 4th place.
